As part of its 40^th Anniversary in 2010, National Urban Fellows hosted eleven summits across the county in an effort to engage and recruit member participation in a collaborative Network that would create awareness of the need for Public Service Leadership Diversity. Three national summits were held in Washington, DC and eight regional summits across the country convened in Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle, Philadelphia, Detroit, Miami and New York. In July of 2011, a ninth regional summit was held adding Jackson, Mississippi to the Collaborative Network. Today, over 150 individuals and organizations are participants in the Public Service Leadership Diversity Initiative’s Collaborative Network.
