Throughout his career, Michael E. Collins, Jr. has pursued opportunities that allowed him to make a positive impact in his community. His passion for improving quality of life and creating social and economic opportunities in underserved communities is evident throughout his career.
Although his current responsibilities, at Fidelity Bank, are centered on addressing and fulfilling the financial needs of his clients and team, he continually takes advantage of opportunities to engage his local community. In his previous role at Fifth Third Bank, he was invited to participate in the inaugural African-American Business Resource Group and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Business Resource Group for the Georgia affiliate, an opportunity generally reserved for manager and corporate level employees.
He supported the efforts of Community Reinvestment Act officers, through volunteerism and activism to ensure that success of Fifth Third’s Georgia affiliate. His involvement remains focused on community outreach, financial literacy in underserved communities, and increased accessibility to financial resources.
