Passionate about youth engagement, education, and community development, Ann Hoang has worked hard to ensure these areas of interest are reflected in her career and personal goals.

Following graduation from the University of California at San Diego, Ann served as the Program Manager at RockCorps. In this capacity, she traveled around the United States to promote volunteerism and social change, engaging people to volunteer their time through transformative projects with specialized nonprofits. From school restorations in Los Angeles to building playgrounds in Atlanta, Ann moved from city to city, leaving positive change and motivated volunteers.

As the Program Manager at Stoked Mentoring, Ann planned and executed a snowboarding program for mentors and mentees.  She furthered Stoked’s mission by helping empower New York City youth with the tools and resources to succeed not only in sports, but also in their personal development. She also successfully doubled the number of mentors and mentees.

Working in the private sector as a Digital Artist and Production Manager at Digital Domain, Ann managed more than 150 artists, providing career growth, scheduling resources, and resolving conflicts with a strong focus on workforce development. Her strong sense of community building led her to implement specialized training programs and foster a nurturing and positive workplace environment.

As a National Urban Fellow, Ann aspires to leverage her private and nonprofit sector management experience to make a lasting contribution and effect positive change for underserved populations.
