APPLICATION HIGHLIGHTS
Application Sections: The application consists of seven parts including personal information; academic background; professional experience; personal/career accomplishments such as honors, awards, and recognitions; autobiographical statement, career goal statement, a personal statement and recommendation/assessment forms.
Autobiographical Statement: Highlight these aspects of your development that brought you to this point in your life. What makes you unique? Who are your influences? What are your educational milestones? What personal attributes or characteristics will make you likely to succeed in this fellowship?
Personal and Career Goal Statement: Discuss the factors that have led you to choose this education path. What are some of the aspects of your professional development that brought you to this point in your life? What personal attributes and characteristics will make you likely to succeed in the fellowship? What experiences have attracted you to a career in public administration? Why do you desire a leadership position and a career in public service? What is your five or ten year goal?
Resume: Submit on plain paper all your work experience, skills and talents (2 pages maximum).
Request for Official Transcript: Submit two official transcripts from every undergraduate and graduate institution where you have completed 10 credits or more.
Three (3) recommendation letters and assessment forms: You are required to submit three (3) recommendation letters and forms from professional and/or academic associates. The letters must be typewritten and submitted on company or personal letterhead.
